Dr. Mohammad Tinawi, M.D.
Dr. Mohammad Tinawi is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Nephrology and Internal Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Michigan State University Affiliated Hospitals in East Lansing, where he also served as Acting Chief Medical Resident.
He completed his fellowship in Nephrology at Saint Louis University Hospital under the directorship of Dr. Kevin Martin, a program nationally recognized for its excellence in electrolyte and mineral metabolism research.
Dr. Tinawi has published scholarly articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and has lectured extensively on kidney diseases at local, regional, and national levels. He is currently an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine Northwest-Gary, and previously served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Michigan State University from 2004 to 2009.
He is a Fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Nephrology, and is a recognized Specialist in Clinical Hypertension certified by the American Society of Hypertension.
