Dr. Shahabul Arfeen, M.D, FACP, FRCP (UK)

Dr.Arfeen trained in Internal Medicine and Nephrology in the UK where he obtained the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians. He then completed a Fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri. He served as chief resident and clinical instructor and subsequently as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at that institution.

He has served as a consultant nephrologist in Northwest Indiana since 1995 and also as a medical director for Davita dialysis.

He holds certificates from the Harvard School of medicine in Global Scholarship in Research training and in Safety, Quality, Informatics and Leadership.

He has many peer reviewed publications and a book chapter to his credit. He is currently involved in clinical research in Nephrology.

Dr. Arfeen is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the Royal college of physicians of UK and a member of the American Society of Nephrology, national Kidney foundation and the American medical association.

He holds a faculty position with Indiana University as a Clinical Assistant Professor of medicine. His clinical interests include Chronic Kidney disease, Hypertension, Transplantation, Dialysis and Electrolyte disturbances.
